MONEY - LIFE's SINE QUA NON

I failed the Latin exam when I applied for entrance to Oxford University.

But one phrase I do remember is "sine qua non" - without which nothing.

Well, life is nothing without money. When the world's population was small, everything was free for the taking. Today, nothing is free. You've simply got to have money to exist.

Money and time are inextricably linked.

The richer you are, the more time you consume protecting your wealth and growing it.

The poorer you are, the more time you consume juggling your bills and deciding which one to delay, yet again.

And if you're in the middle, you spend much time dreaming about which new smartphone you will buy for yourself .. or your partner .. or your offspring.

However you look at it, we all spend a lot of time thinking about money. In this sense it is a Very Important part of our lives.

Which is where happimoney and happiopia come into play.

Happiopia is an imaginary utopia of utopias that is the first nation to have adopted happimoney as the key interface between government and governed.

The happiopians own their own nation and its money.  Every month their monthly happimoney dividends are automatically deposited into their happimoney account with the HED - The Hereditors Reserve.

The great thing about happimoney is that it is regular; it's guaranteed; it's always growing.   It encourages work; it allows people to dream about the next generation i-phone or whatever.

In short, money and happimoney in particular are Very Important factors in the lives of most people. This is why it's necessary to remind politicians that they will lose votes if they don't vote for happimoney.
